Daniel placed a folder on Graham’s desk. My grandfather’s “minority stake” was 18 percent of Harrington Global’s largest private holding company, acquired years before Graham and I ever met. More importantly, the shares carried specific voting rights. I had never used them because I wanted my marriage separate from business. But after reviewing recent company expenses with Adrian, I discovered Graham had repeatedly used corporate travel, entertainment accounts, and executive accommodations during trips where Sierra accompanied him.
I had not contacted the board to demand Graham’s removal. I had simply requested an independent review of expenses connected to those trips and formally disclosed my ownership interest before the divorce became public. Daniel explained that the board could not ignore the request once supporting records were provided. Sierra’s role was also being examined because several questionable charges had been approved through her department. Graham finally understood that the wife he believed knew nothing about his company had access to more information than he expected.
