Warren turned the page. Twelve days before the wedding, Grayson had borrowed nearly $6.8 million from a private lender after presenting documents suggesting he would soon acquire an interest in my Laguna Beach property. Attached to the application was a draft transfer agreement bearing what appeared to be my signature. I had never signed it. Camille’s name appeared on several supporting documents, including an email telling the lender the house would become “available immediately after the wedding.”
Everett moved quickly. We preserved the records, notified the relevant financial institutions, and provided investigators with the original ownership documents showing the mansion remained entirely mine. The edited wedding video also began to collapse once the ballroom produced its full security footage. It showed Grayson striking me first, demanding the keys, and security moving toward us immediately afterward. Witness statements filled in what the viral clip had deliberately removed.
Camille eventually admitted Grayson had convinced her I was planning to transfer the property as a wedding gift. She knew about the lender, but claimed she believed the paperwork merely anticipated a transfer I had already approved. Whether that explanation protected her was no longer mine to decide. The financial documents, disputed signatures, and assault were handled through attorneys and investigators. I withdrew from every remaining financial commitment connected to their marriage.
The $48 million house never changed hands. Grayson’s lender pursued him over representations he had made, and his carefully constructed image disappeared almost as quickly as the edited video had spread. Camille contacted me months later asking whether we could repair our relationship. I told her forgiveness and access were two different things. What broke me that night was not Grayson’s demand. It was seeing my daughter smile after he struck me. Twelve days before the wedding, they had already begun treating my home like an asset they expected to control. The wedding simply revealed the plan before they could finish it.
